Kodama smashes Kickstarter goal for $99 Obsidian 3D printer

Last year, we reported on the breakthrough that 3D printer manufacturer Kodama achieved with its Trinus 3D printer. The first all-metal 3D printer available for under $500, it was the San Francisco-based startup’s first product on the market, and its success led to the announcement of an even more affordable machine. The Kodama Obsidian will be available for $99 in its basic version, and after the 3D printer was demonstrated at the Bay Area Maker Fair last month, a Kickstarter campaign was launched this week.

New Printrbelt 3D printer by Printrbot lets you print with Infinite Z

The latest trend for desktop 3D printers, conveyor belt build platforms, seems to really be taking off. The Blackbelt 3D printer, developed by a Dutch startup of the same name, has raised over €100,000 through a successful Kickstarter campaign, and now California-based 3D printer company Printrbot has introduced its latest offering, the Printrbelt 3D printer.

AONIQs 888 PVC 3D Printer available for $10,999

Australian R&D company AONIQ has launched the 888 PVC 3D Printer, a $10,999 FDM machine capable of printing with PVC and standard 3D printing materials. AONIQ says the 3D printer sits somewhere between budget FDM printers and more expensive production-level machines.
